Add market based portfolio restrictions

Ace 6 years ago updated by Genesis Vision Support 5 years ago 2

With index funds like Vanguard I can see a breakdown of where they hold their assets. Property, forex, etc. I may want to choose a trader which only deals in forex for example and it would give greater options for searching and picking an investor other then the charts.

In a bear market I may want to avoid crypto all together. I understand traders may still be able to make a profit in bear market conditions but again this diversity in manager selections would help give people more options when the platform gets thousands of different traders.

Even if this is not a restriction, being able to see a breakdown of where a trader usually operates by sector (forex, crpyo, etc) would be helpful. It's not all about returns.

Answer

We appreciate your suggestion. We will take it into consideration. Thank you for helping us to improve the platform!

Let me filter managers by their fees and other attributes

Ace 6 years ago updated by Genesis Vision Support 6 years ago 1

When there are thousands of investors i should be able to find managers by their fees and be able to select those with the lowest.

Hello!

Thank you for your suggestion. The list of parameters to filter the managers will be expanded in the nearest future.

I would suggest you add the traders fee to their front page

Brian 6 years ago updated by Genesis Vision Support 5 years ago 2

I would suggest you add the traders fee to their front page so we can see what % they take rather than opening their profile. It's a minor suggestion but I think it would be helpful as I would skip over managers with really high fees

Answer

Hello! Thank you for your suggestion. We believe it is a great one, and we will forward it to our developers.

add total profit column

vikashait 4 years ago updated by Genesis Vision Support 3 years ago 7

Currently there is only one column "Profit" which is actually not a correct indicator to a newbie because it depends on what time range is selected by default. I propose to add "total profit" column same like below. it is very clear to everyone. Sorry of adding below screenshot but I am trying to make a strong point .

Change layout of few sections genesis.vision landing page for better conversion

vikashait 4 years ago updated by Genesis Vision Support 4 years ago 3

I think the landing page of genesis vision website is very cool and techy where I see so many sections, vertical animated scrolls, horizontal sliders, etc. these all look very nice

However, I see some concern for using this techy landing page from a marketing point of view. For e.g all the google, BAT & other ads you are running, the main point to look at is the conversion rate. good conversion rate starts from 7% - 10%, which means that for every 100 clicks 7-10 signed in to genesis vision. But I think we have not seen that so far using the campaign that team ran in the last 6 months. User base investment was not noticeable although there could be other factors. But the point of effective marketing is that you should be able to sell any product because it's not the product which has fault always. I have seen many websites selling junks but their revenue is huge. I have no doubt that new features that the team is implementing make the product more superior.

I am here to decouple marketing strategy from product feature and trying to suggest ways which will help genesis vision to convert leads into investment. As I mentioned in other feedback I have good experience in running AdWords, changed website layouts which at ends gave promising conversion rate (product was generally not the constraint)

So here are few points

1) Funds, Follow, Programs - should follow the same layout. That will keep the user focus intact with the intent.

2) show the top 5 funds/follow/programs - as a row layout with the "Invest" button at the end of every row. Again Invest button is important. Row layout is similar to what lend (avve) is doing on the home page.

3) Genesis Vision wall - move this section after Funds. Follow, program section. If somebody clicks ad randomly he should see engaging action right in the top. Genesis vision wall feeds are good and fancy but it should be down somewhere. Also, reduce its font a bit.

Rest whatever you want add is fine. But my main focus is the top 2 points. I feel that product will be ready and these changes will really boost your marketing effort as well (telling from my personal experience)

Changing the default currency for investing from GVT to BTC, would be better for GVT and GV.

Alix 4 years ago updated by Genesis Vision Support 4 years ago 1

Aimed at the Genesis Vision community and team.

Before jumping on me (referring to the community), read why I think that setting BTC as default currency will be good for GVT.

Every time an investor invests on a fund/program or a manager creates a fund using GVT, it automatically goes to be sold and converted to BTC, ETH or USDT or in any other asset as the manager decided.

This generates a constant selling pressure on the token.
Considering GVT's small market and low volumes, even a small but steady sales pressure puts the token in trouble as we have been seeing for months.

You will argue that this would take away GVT's greatest utility, but this is not true. Here's why.

There is no way GVT could be used as the principal currency on Genesis at least for now, considering that anyone who wants to invest more than a few thousand dollars would not opt for GVT because simply BTC, ETH and USDT are a better option for this.
You can buy $10K of BTC in few seconds without the price moving and invest right away in the fund/program you want, with GVT is not possible given the tiny volume it's going to be disaster in both direction buy & sell.

That's why it is better to leave this role to coins like BTC, ETH, USDT and maybe support others like DAI, PAX, BCH etc. The entry barrier should be as low as possible for users to jon and use Genesis Vision app.

GVT would benefit enormously if the platform acquires investors and managers as both parties have incentives to buy & hold GVT to reduce fees. The same applies to all funds created, where 1% of the total allocation value is always held in GVT.
More volume and user's also means more GVT bought back and burned by the team.

In essence, the success of GVT goes hand in hand with the use and growth of the platform not by it being bought and selled right away to invest on program's/fund's.

At the moment GVT most likely is being used to invest in funds and program's on the platform (and therefore sold on the market) by the same investors/holder of it, who at the same time are probably complaining about the price.

However, it cannot be excluded that if the platform achieves significant growth, GVT token market will be large enough to allow the use of the token as an investment medium within the platform.

All the above is why I think that right now the default currency when it comes to investing on the platform should be BTC.

For anyone who still thinks that having GVT as the only currency to invest on the platform is a good idea...not even Binance the biggest exchange would dare to force BNB over BTC & ETH. User's will just switch and use other platform if forced in this no sense.

Funds - Exit to Stable Coin (GVT Utility)

Jacob 4 years ago updated by Genesis Vision Support 4 years ago 1

Hi,

I would like to propose an added utility to GVT for managers using Funds.

The utility is to allow a manager to reallocate their Fund to 100% stable coin (or similar) at a cost of a small GVT fee. This is in addition to the daily 3% reallocation limit. The alternative would be to allow managers to purchase more % allocation with GVT if their limit is exhausted.

Reason: If you have used up your reallocation limit there is no way to preserve capital in your fund when Bitcoin makes a large movement down. As a result investors (and AUM of the platform) are impacted. Granted funds are meant to be more passive, I believe crypto with its volatility needs to be treated differently than say a traditional fund.

Thank you for your time.
